This project examines the impact of early and excessive digital screen exposure on young children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development. Using a mixed-methods approach, it explores autism-like neurobehavioral symptoms and parental media practices, while piloting a parent education intervention to promote healthy screen habits, interactive play, and optimal early childhood development.

This longitudinal mixed-methods study (2025–2029) examines how social, political, economic, and technological changes influence adolescents’ behaviours and psychosocial health across three regions of India. By integrating quantitative assessments with qualitative insights from adolescents, parents, and grandparents, the study aims to inform policies and interventions promoting adolescent mental and physical well-being.

This study, presented at the Australasian Road Safety Conference (2024), Tasmania, examined smartphone use while driving among 372 Indian university students, finding a strong association between distracted driving (texting/calling) and road crash involvement, emphasising prevention measures.

This initiative reviewed two decades of intersectoral action addressing the social determinants of health in India. It examined key policies, programs, and governance mechanisms across sectors to understand progress, gaps, and outcomes in promoting health equity and improving population health.
